Clune House Bed and Breakfast

SA400279Hello and a very warm welcome to the Clune House website.

Thank you for coming to take a look.

We're sorry but Clune House will not be open during 2018, it is taking a well-earned Gap Year!! We will be up and running again from 5th April 2019. We hope that you'll forgive us our Time Out and, again, our apologies for disappointing you if you're looking to stay this year.

Our B&B is conveniently located at the quieter end of the Main Street in the picturesque Highland village of Newtonmore, which is situated at the southern Gateway to The Cairngorms National Park.

Clune House is a delightful Victorian building, full of character which, over the years, has been lovingly restored & modernised, allowing us to provide you, our guests, with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay in this area.

Newtonmore is a lovely, friendly small village and is an ideal location from which to explore the many attractions of the area. There are, for example, all year round Outdoor Activities (see our Out and About page) or take a drive to see the nearby Ardverikie Estate (home of Monarch of the Glen).

The village itself holds a lot of things to see and do - you can, for example, spend an afternoon, indeed, a whole day, at our excellent Highland Folk Museum, visit the Clan MacPherson museum, savour the peace, quiet & tremendous views as you walk the 10 kms of the Wildcat Trail or simply stroll round the village, enjoying the exciting Wildcat Experience seeing just how many of our resident wildcats you can spot!

Newtonmore now has a fine choice of places to get a bite to eat, a drink or two or a cup of coffee or tea. Just up the road is the village of Kingussie, capital of Ancient Badenoch and, a little further north, the town of Aviemore with its even wider choice of shops and restaurants.

More details of what we have to offer you here at our B and B and what there is to see and to do during your stay in this lovely part of the world are laid out in the pages of our website. Do take a minute or two to browse.

Whenever you choose to come from 5th April next year, whether for a short break or a longer holiday, you can be sure of a warm welcome and friendly service in addition to the home comforts we offer you here at Clune House.
