Frequently Asked Questions.

The "small print" is laid out below, please take a minute or two to browse through it, then you'll know as much as we do.

Do we ask for deposits?

We prefer to ask you for your credit or debit card details to guarantee your booking. We do not take any money at the time you book, leaving you to pay your bill when you take your leave of us. If, however, you'd prefer to send us a cheque, we ask for a deposit of £25.00 per person.

What if I need to cancel?

If you cancel your booking within 14 days of your confirmed date of arrival and we are unable to re-let your room, we reserve the right to make a cancellation charge of £25.00 per person. This amount will be charged to the card you gave us to confirm your booking and we'll send you the paperwork so that you can claim it back off your travel insurance.

Guests who do not turn up.

Sad to say, there are some guests who simply don't turn up for their booking!! In the event of this happening, we have no choice but to charge the full cost of your stay to the card you gave us to confirm your booking. Again, we will, of course, send you the paperwork to allow you to reclaim the amount from your travel insurance.

What time can I Check In and Check Out.

Check in time is between 15.00 and 20.00. If your travel plans mean that you need to arrive earlier, please just let us know when you book and we shall be here. We ask you to vacate your room by 10.00 on the morning of your departure.

Do you accommodate families?

We welcome families with youngsters of all ages. Craig Beag comfortably accommodates a family of 3 and, if your youngster is aged 5 years and under, there is no charge for their B&B. We would bring to your attention that any youngster aged 12 years and under needs to share a room with an adult.

What about pets?

Sorry, but we don't offer accommodation for your pets.

Do you cater for Special Diets?

We pride ourselves in providing choices for guests with special dietary needs. We simply ask that you discuss this with us at the time you make your booking.

What time is breakfast?

We serve breakfast in our Dining Room, between 8.00 and 9.00 daily. If, however, you need an earlier breakfast time, we'll be happy to oblige. Please discuss this with us when you make your booking.

Takeaway Food.

We now have an excellent Takeaway in the village but please note that, if you are looking to bring cooked food back to Clune House, we shall ask you to eat in at our dining table and not in your room. We're happy to let you have plates & cutlery but this service only runs until 20.30 to allow us to ready the Dining Room for your breakfast.

I'm allergic to feathers. can you help.

All our pillows and duvets are non-allergenic - problem solved.

What is your policy on Mobile Phones, Tablets & Laptops.

Mobile Phones are wonderful things but, to avoid disturbing our other guests, we ask that they are switched off or at least on "Silent" during breakfast and that you use them only in the privacy of your room or outside the house.

Do you have anywhere I can smoke?

The simple answer is no. We do not offer any facilities at all in the house for guests who wish to smoke. We do, however, have a butt bin for guests who smoke outside. We ask all our guests to respect our wishes on this sensitive issue.
