Frequently Asked Questions.

The "small print" is laid out below, please take a minute or two to browse through it, then you'll know as much as we do.

Do we ask for deposits?

We prefer to ask you for your credit or debit card details to guarantee your booking. We do not take any money at the time you book, leaving you to pay your bill when you take your leave of us.

What if I need to cancel?

If you cancel your booking within 14 days of your confirmed date of arrival and we are unable to re-let your room, we reserve the right to make a cancellation charge of £25.00 per person. This amount will be charged to the card you gave us to confirm your booking and we'll send you the paperwork so that you can claim it back off your travel insurance.

Guests who do not turn up.

Sad to say, there are some guests who simply don't turn up for their booking!! In the event of this happening, we have no choice but to charge the full cost of your stay to the card you gave us to confirm your booking. Again, we will, of course, send you the paperwork to allow you to reclaim the amount from your travel insurance.

What time can I Check In and Check Out.

Check in time is between 16.00 and 20.00. If your travel plans mean that you need to arrive earlier, please just let us know when you book and we shall be here. Likewise, if you can't avoid arriving later than 20.00, we'd appreciate you letting us know - by giving us a quick call on 01540 673146, please - we are not slaves to our e-mail. We ask you to vacate your room by 10.30 on the morning of your departure.

Do you accommodate youngsters?

We welcome families who have youngsters aged 12 years and over. Craig Beag can comfortably accommodate a family of three with your youngster on an additional foam bed.

What about pets?

Dogs are most welcome. We ask that their well-behaved owners ensure that our other guests enjoy the dog's company too.

Do you cater for Special Diets?

We pride ourselves in providing choices for guests with special dietary needs. We simply ask that you discuss this with us at the time you make your booking.

What time is breakfast?

We serve breakfast in our Dining Room, between 8.00 and 9.00 daily. If, however, you need an earlier breakfast time, we'll be happy to oblige. Please discuss this with us when you make your booking.

I'm allergic to feathers. can you help.

All our pillows and duvets are non-allergenic - problem solved.

What is your policy on Mobile Phones, Tablets & Laptops.

Mobile Phones are wonderful things but, to avoid disturbing our other guests, we ask that they are left in your room during breakfast and that you use them only in the privacy of your room or outside the house.

Do you have anywhere I can smoke or vape?

The simple answer is no. We do not offer any facilities at all in the house for guests who wish to smoke or vape. We ask all our guests to respect our wishes on this sensitive issue.
